Kinara Indian Restaurant
One of my 2 favorite Indian restaurants on 5th Avenue. Kinara went thru some struggles when the NYC restaurant grading system came about, but eventually they got their "A".

Rare early November snow in NYC, one week after "post-tropical-cyclone" Sandy passed by. Impossible not to think about all the people who lost their homes during Sandy, now having to deal with this. Park Slope was one of the lucky neighborhoods that didn't suffer much, but it's still hard to see this cold weather creep into an injured city.
This is a pre-Sandy photo, but there are still lots of trees with green leaves on them after the storm, so there's still a good chance for a beautiful fall season.
In the distance, the Manhattan skyline darkened by power outages caused by the passage of "Post Tropical Cyclone" Sandy. Oct 30th 2012
Thank you to all the people who came to my show at Culture last week. There was a huge crowd and many came from quite far. A great time was had by all. In case you didn't get a chance to swing by, the full set of photos will be up through late November. So be sure to go check them out and grab some yogurt. Culture even created a special new flavor for this.
Here's a special peek at the photos.
All prints are for available for purchase. Send me an email (ritenour dot photo at gmail dot com) if you're interested in custom sizes and/or an extended series.
I'm moving to Brooklyn Heights tomorrow. It's going to be fantastic, but I'm really going to miss my mornings at Konditori. For nearly 8 years I've started every morning with my bagel, coffee, and NY Times. A proper cafe is integral to this, and Konditori has been one of the best that I've been to.
The lovely folks over at Culture frozen yogurt recently asked to feature my photography in their store. On Friday, October 5th at 7:00-9:00 P.M. they will be hosting an opening party of my work entitled "Brooklyn Moments."
I'll be showing 14 black and white photographs of everyone's favorite borough. In case you'd like to take a bit of it home, the prints will be for sale. I'm also happy to do custom sizes and sets if you so desire (sritenou at gmail dot com). Come for the artwork. Come for some bubbly. Come for the world class yogurt treats. See you there!
P.S. I'll be the guy in the blue glasses.
